Swim and Dive snags second season win

The GHS Swim and Dive team won their second meet of the season this past Tuesday against Salem, making their record 2-1.

Coming off a win against Swampscott, the team wanted to keep their streak alive. 

Standout swimmers at the meet were Henry Siezdik, Joseph Procello, and Amos Telup. Siezdik placed first in the 200 IM, Porcello placed first in the 50 freestyle, and Telup placed first in the 100 freestyle. All three swimmers were on the winning 400 freestyle relay team, along with Anna Patrick. 

In addition to these strong finishes, two other relay teams were able to place first. Jackson Ketchopulos, Luke Patnode, Susie Low, and Telup won the 200 freestyle relay. Patrick, Patnode, Siedik, and Porcello took first in the 200 medley relay. 

Eighth grader Francesca Goddess placed first in diving.

The Fishermen’s next meet will be against Peabody on January 16th at Gordon College.
