The girls set another school record in the 4x100m, which marks the 4th time they have broken it this year. The relay group of Carla Kasera, Grace Castellucci, Tess Taylor, and Maddison Goodhue clocked a time of 51.04 secs to take 7th place.
The girls also had a strong individual showing. C. Kasera jumped a personal record (PR) of 17-9 feet in the long jump to secure a 3rd place finish. G. Castellucci took 11th in the 200m, Hope Castellucci 19th in the 800m, River Martin took 19th in the 1-mile and 17th in the 2-mile, and Taylor also took 18th in the 100-meter hurdles.
The boys had a successful two days, both individually and in relays.
Seamus Linehan was the clear frontrunner for the boys. Linehan took 2nd place in the 400m hurdles with a PR of 56.33 secs and 15th in the triple jump.
The boys’ 4x400m team of Vincent Mannone, Deion Kasera, Jeferson do Carmo, and Linehan finished 2nd with a new PR of 3:28.47 minutes. Their time puts them less than a second off the current school record, earning them a spot at the meet of champions on June 6.
do Carmo also finished 11th in the 400m and 7th in the 400m hurdles. Along with him, Mannone finished 11th in the 400m hurdles and 10th in the 400m.
The Fisherman next competes at the MIAA Meet Of Champions on Thursday and Saturday.
