This Wednesday, the GHS Music Department will take the stage alongside the Triton Regional High School Jazz band to perform their end of year concert.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Shalin Liu Performance Center.
The Jazz Band has been working tirelessly all year, in and out of class, to prepare to showcase their music.
Band President Sean Buckley is excited to perform with Tritons Jazz Band, as he feels it brings together communities through music.
“This is a really great opportunity to increase involvement throughout the North Shore, “ Buckley said, “I really love how much music can bring people together.”
Some notable songs that the band will be playing include “Puente Arriba!”, “My Funny Valentine”, and “Hey Arnold!”. Some other artists’ music that you can expect to hear are “Queen,” “Paul Baker,” and “Yoko Kanna.”
“We’ve worked really hard all year,” sophomore Nathan Gorman-Melo said, “we’re very excited to show the community what we’ve put together.”
Admission is free with a suggested $4 donation per person.
