Its that time of year again!   With the first day of school approaching, new students should mark this date on their calendars.  New Student Orientation and Chromebook Distribution Night is this Tuesday, August 27th.

This event will begin in the auditorium of the high school at 5:00 p.m. Following announcements and orientation, Chromebooks will be issued in the field house between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.  

During the orientation period, students and parents will be invited to walk around GHS to find their classes and become comfortable with the layout of the building.  Maps will be provided and administration will be available to guide students if they are unsure of a classroom’s location. 

The purpose of this event to make the transition to high school as smooth as possible

Parents and students are encouraged to email Principal James Cook with questions they would like answered during the auditorium portion of the night, at  [email protected]. 

To receive a Chromebook students must have AT LEAST one parent or guardian present.  They must bring $25.00, preferably in the form of a check or money order. Cash is acceptable, but discouraged.  

Checks can be made out Gloucester Public Schools.  This fee covers the cost of Chromebook insurance. In addition, students who need a new charger or case must pay an extra $20 per item.  Families with special payment arrangements will be accommodated at a specific table.
