The City of Gloucester, in partnership with local community organizations and Green Team Junk Removal, will host a recycling and sustainability drive on April 6th.
In celebration of Earth Day, the City of Gloucester and its partners invite residents to take part in a Recycling and Sustainability Drive on Sunday, April 6th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at O’Maley Innovation Middle School, 32 Cherry Street, Gloucester, MA.
As a special incentive, residents can turn in their old dehumidifiers and receive a $30 rebate from National Grid. Those unable to attend can contact Green Team Junk Removal for pickup services.
Accepted Items for Recycling:

Electronics – Computers, TVs, gaming systems, cell phones, and more.

Appliances – Microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, air conditioners, and more.
Textiles – Clothing and blankets (must be clean and reusable). -
Other Items – Mattresses, box springs, propane tanks, car batteries, tires, Styrofoam, books, exercise equipment, and household/kitchen items for donation.

No car entry fee; individual fees apply per item for recycling.

Donations of canned and dried foods, as well as personal hygiene items, are welcome.

Payment for recycling is accepted via cash, card, or check payable to “Green Team Junk Removal.”
Green Team Junk Removal recycles, reuses, and donates 80% of what they haul, making it an excellent opportunity for residents to dispose of items responsibly.
In collaboration with Cape Ann Climate Coalition, TownGreen, HomeWorks Energy, Black Earth Compost, 400 Trees Gloucester, Habitat for Humanity and National Grid, the event will be an opportunity for attendees to recycle and learn from local and statewide vendors.
