GHS artists recognized at Scholastic Awards
February 25, 2020
It’s been a fantastic month for the GHS Art Department.
GHS has had three Gold Key winners for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards: Julia Amero for her Pelican Painting, Autumn Silva for her illustration and Massimo Mogetta for his Mixed Media piece that is currently on display outside the music room.
We also had three honorable mention winners as well. Emily Grace and Kyla Snell had both won for their mixed media pieces which are also on display outside the music room, along Natasha Baumgaertel for her contour line drawing.
In other art news, three seniors have been accepted to Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Serene DeSisto, Emily Grace, and Lila Hawks.
If you see any of the students congratulate them on their amazing work and check it out outside of the music room on display!
