Walking club offers gym credits
October 23, 2019
Want to feel more energized during school? The walking club provides the fresh air and energy you need to get through the day.
Health and Wellness coordinator Karen Hurst is looking for new members to join the walking club. The club is open to students and staff, and can fill gym requirements for students who need them.
The walking club meets at the cafeteria entrance on Mondays and Thursdays at both lunch blocks. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes leaving plenty of time to make it back to the cafeteria and eat.
Hurst is dedicated to getting GHS students healthier.
“I want to get students out and active,” she said. “Students who participate in walking club report feeling more refreshed and ready for the rest of the school day.”
