Interact trivia night to raise money for solar lamps

The Gloucester High School Interact club is hosting a trivia night on October 17th in the GHS cafeteria for a worthy cause to raising funds to ship solar lamps to Rwanda.

The questions are going to be made for the adults of Gloucester, rather than for teenagers. Teams of four will compete and winners will receive multiple different prizes from local restaurants and shops.

“We hope to have a fun time with various members of the Cape Ann community while supporting a great cause,” said Interact club president Delaney Benchoff.

The Interact club hosts events in order to raise money for various associations and to help many different communities. The club is known for fundraisers such as the annual Lobster Roll fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, the annual Polar Plunge to raise money for the End Polio Now Campaign, and others.

“We hold events like this often to help causes that our club believes in,” said other Interact Club president Rachel Vincent. “It allows our club to not only impact people in our community, but around the world.”

The club is also accepting donations. To sign up for trivia night, or donate to interact, email GHS interact club at [email protected]
