Awesome Gloucester eco-friendly grant up for grabs
April 25, 2018
Have a great idea that could better the environment? This is your golden opportunity.
In honor of Earth Day, Awesome Gloucester and Neptune’s Harvest– an organic fertilizer company– are looking for ideas to make Gloucester more environment friendly. They are joining forces to award the top two ideas with a grant.
Each grant will be $1,000 with the goal to make the idea a reality.
“Neptune’s Harvest and Awesome Gloucester entered a Facebook challenge together to see who could be the first to reach 3,500 followers,” said Neptune’s Harvest owner Ann Molloy. “If Awesome Gloucester won, Neptune’s Harvest was to donate $1,000.00 for an added Grant.”
“Even though Neptune’s Harvest won, we decided to offer the extra grant anyway, as long as it went to something environmentally friendly to make Gloucester more awesome,” continued Molloy. “That’s when Sal Zerilli and I came up with the Earth Day Challenge for April’s submissions, in honor of Earth Day and for Mother Earth.”
Molloy and the rest of Awesome Gloucester are excited to see what comes of the project.
“We are more than happy to support this cause, and we look forward to seeing the ideas that come out of it.”
To submit your proposal at, visit www.awesomefoundation.org/en/submissions/new.
The deadline to submit an idea is April 30th.
