Cheerleaders top North Regional Championship

Three cheers for the cheerleaders! The GHS Cheerleaders won first place in their division at the North Regional Championship hosted at Methuen High School on Sunday, March 4th.
The team is very excited that they won Regionals and brought another victory to GHS.
“I️ personally am very proud of my team considering we have very high difficulty within our skills,” said GHS Senior and Cheer Captain Vanessa Rodolosi.
“I am super excited about winning Regionals and hope to continue our winning streak for states,” said GHS Senior and Cheer Captain Talia Sanfilippo.
The team has their head in the game are focused on winning the state competition.
“Our performance at Regionals wasn’t our best, but i️t was still great,” said Rodolosi. “I️ know we will improve by Sunday for states.”
“This is a very talented team,” said Sanfilippo. “Although we have had setbacks between illnesses and injuries, we are continuing to work hard at practice to bring Gloucester another state title.”
Their first place win at Regionals won them a spot at the State Championship Competition on Sunday, March 11th hosted at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in Hanson, Massachusetts. Be sure to come and support them.
