Gloucester Track and Field took home another blowout win against Salem on Senior Night.
The Lady Fishermen only allowed 7 points to be scored against them, putting up many personal bests. First-place finishes came from Cia Donohoe (400m hurdles), Grace Castellucci (100m), Carla Kasera (200 and long jump), Hope Castellucci (800m), River Martin (1 mile), Kaila Cauthers (100m hurdles and high jump), Charlotte Randazza (shotput), Morris (discus and javelin), and Tess Taylor (triple jump).
The girls’ 4×100 team (Maddison Goodhue, Castellucci, Taylor, and Kasera) and the 4x400m team (Callie Arsunault, Violet St.Marrie, Jude Friday, and Clair Yukins) both took first.
The boys also had a very successful meet with a score of 85.5 to 49.5.
The boys’ top finisher was junior captain Seamus Linehan. Linehan took first in the 400m hurdles and set a new personal record. He also took first in triple jump and long jump, setting two new season bests.
First-place finishes came from Linehan, Leo Cosentino (100m), Sam Mello (200m), Deion Kasera (400m), Lemi Marshall (800m), Gus Hall (1 mile), Jacob McLain (110m hurdles), and Vincent Mannone (javelin).
The boys’ 4×100 of Cosentino, Mello, Joey Porcello, and Mannone took first, along with the boys’ 4x400m team of Isaiah Nicastro, Adare Foster, Lemi Marshall, and Gus Hall.
The team celebrated twelve seniors: Hope Castellucci, Cia Donohoe, Charlotte Morris, Georgana Cauthers, Caroline Eliassen, Julia Sanfillippo, Madison Jewell, Niava Friday, Leonidas Cosentino, Gabe Pate, Sam Mello, and Lyall Cunningham.
The Fishermen now look towards Division 4 State Relays on Sunday morning.
