Want a night filled with good local music? Kicked Off the Bus and Old Hickory Boulevard will be performing rock and country music at The Cut on March 8th.
The music event was organized by the GHS class of 2027 student council as a fundraiser for the class. Amos Telep, the class treasurer, feels that the concert will be both beneficial to the school, as well as a fun event for the audience.
“It’s great that this event can help raise money for our class while also helping to bring the community together,” Telep said. “Music is a really great way to bring people together.”
Kicked Off the Bus is a rock band from Gloucester that is composed of three current GHS students, and one GHS alumni. The band’s lead singer, Brandon Blatchford, and the band’s drummer, Henry Goulart, are both freshmen at GHS. Junior David Berg is the band’s bass guitarist. GHS class of 2025 graduate Sam Palazola plays guitar for the band alongside Berg.
Some of the songs that will be featured in Kicked Off the Bus’s set list are “Mr. Brownstone” by Guns N’ Roses, “Wood” by Allison Chains, and “Everlong” by the FooFighters.
In addition, Old Hickory Boulevard Country Band will also headline the show. Playing Outlaw country music, viewers can expect covers of artists such as Waylon and Willie, as well as Chris Stapleton.
Tickets can be purchased both online and at the door.
