Last Thursday, December 3, 22 new members were inducted into the National Art Honor Society. This marked the chapter’s fourth annual induction. 7 returning members were also recognized.
The induction featured guest speaker Dylan McKnight. McKnight is a New-England based artist trained in drawing, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
Advisor Ms. Cerrutti, President Mylee Towne, Vice President Lyall Cunningham, Secretary Velia Wrinn, and Art Buddies Coordinator Madison Jewell also spoke.
Some upcoming dates were announced, like the New York City trip to visit a museum and the date hours are due for members.
With the induction, comes the winter art show and the NAHS art sale. The art show features student work from every art class as well as some outside work. It will be on display through this week.
The art sale is one of the NAHS’s biggest fundraisers of the year. There are mugs, wooden and ceramic ornaments, calendars featuring student work, crochet flowers, and student photographs for sale this year. There are also discounted coasters, magnets, mugs, and ornaments.

The art sale will be set up outside of the cafeteria during both lunches over this week and is a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping done. You can pay in cash, by check, or by Venmo.
There is also a new addition to the art sale this year: a photo booth. For $4, you can get an Instax photo in front of a winter backdrop. Capture a fun moment with your friends!
Congratulations members!
