For the first time, the National Art Honor Society is conducting a fun and unique fundraiser that draws inspiration from You Got Flocked. It’s called You Got Framed. The fundraiser began on October 8th and will conclude on November 17th.
Student artists, photographers, and painters who are members of the NAHS created art for the fundraiser. The art is then framed and placed in different people’s lawns around Gloucester.
“I want the community to share art and create a fun and interactive way to see art on a daily basis,” NAHS President Mylee Towne said, “[The money we raise will go towards] a school field trip to New York City and making it more affordable. We also want to raise money for scholarships.”
To remove the traveling gallery and bring it to the next house, the owner of the home, in which the portable exhibit is placed, is encouraged to pay twenty dollars to get the art removed or call the number placed on the artwork.
The fundraiser was created to be interactive, giving the community the ability to interact with local artists and support the NAHS as they work to incorporate art into the community.
