The Manchester Essex Cross Country program took down their season opener with a win vs the Lynnfield Pioneers.
The boys’ team was successful by securing the first four finishing spots. Senior Lyall Cunningham won the meet, followed by Isaiah Nicastro, Jeferson DoCarmo, and Gus Hall. The team finished with a score of 18-37.
The girls’ team also went home with a win, even though they didn’t have quite as much success. Freshman Anna Sergi came in second, followed by Ruby McElhenny in third, River Silva in fifth, and River Martin. The team finished with a score of 23-34.
