The trophy case in the main hall was shattered during first lunch today.

“It was just an accident,” stated GHS Principal Erik Anderson. “A student bumped into it with his backpack, it wasn’t a fight.”

Though Mr. Anderson insists that it was an accident, other students who witnessed the incident claim otherwise.

Sophomore Christian Sanfilippo stated that one student had another in a choke hold and pushed that student through the glass.

Other students who were there also agree with the principal. “It’s not a big deal, it was an accident,” said Senior Laura Johnson. “There was no intent to hurt the beautiful art display here.”

As for the trophy case, it will be covered up and replaced as soon as possible.
