Hockey home opener tonight
December 17, 2014
The Fishermen look for their second win of the season at their home opener tonight against Swampscott. The team had an amazing first game, and they plan to keep the momentum going.
On Saturday night the Fishermen came up with a big win against Lynn moving their record to 1-0. They beat the Lynn Jets 5-2.
Sal Costanzo had a great start coming out and scoring in the first 30 seconds of game. He was assisted by Jack Nicastro.
The Fishermen never let Lynn back in the game, and played for the full 45 minutes. The first two lines, including the defense, played an insane amount of minutes especially Captain Alex Enes.
Sophomore Liam Lyons played an outstanding game scoring a hat trick. Eddie Mahoney also contributed a goal and an assist.
Everyone contributed to this big win, but unfortunately the Fishermen are now down two skaters because of injuries.Sal Costanzo, who is a huge loss for the Fishermen, is out with a shoulder injury and Brian Boss is out with a concussion.
Despite these losses, the Fishermen have a strong team and hope to have a big crowd of fans tonight. Game starts at 6:00 pm.
