Last Saturday, the GHS Boys hockey team took on the Danvers Falcons, winning 5-4 in the end.
Danvers took an early lead in the first period, leading 1-0. The Fisherman answered right back, with Senior Captain Cade Cooper ripping a shot to tie the game.
In the second period, Danvers recorded three unanswered goals before Freshman Luke Salah scored to cut the Falcon lead down to two.
In the third period, the Fishermen started to come back early with a goal by Freshman Jackson Harnish, followed by Senior Captain Colby Warren. The Fishermen kept the momentum rolling with goals to tie the game 4-4.
Going into overtime, the Fisherman kept the pressure on the Falcons and sealed the deal with a Goal by Junior Defenseman Kam Francis, ending with a 5-4 score.
The Fishermen are now 1-0 on the season, and take on the Newburyport Clippers at Graf Skating Rink at 7pm on Wednesday, December 18th.
