Have you been looking to take better care of your skin? A great way to feel more beautiful and healthy is to make sure you’re taking care of your body. There isn’t one uniform way that everyone should be washing their face, since everybody has different skin and different problems. So here are different ways to take care of your skin.

Pro tips

1.) Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. If you use too many face masks, it may irritate and break out your skin. Creating a facial schedule- or picking a certain day of the week for different masks- will help you make sure you’re not doing too much of one mask.

2.) Make sure that you’re looking at the instructions on your face mask to ensure the best results. Some face masks will suggest that you only use it one day a week, and others will say that you’re able to use it 2-3 times a week. Make sure that you’re not doing more than the recommended amount. Another plus of using a face mask is that it only takes about 15-20 minutes, so you can relax and enjoy a nice little break while the face mask works its magic.

3.) Only wash your face with things that are meant for your face. The skin on your face is more sensitive and needs to be more carefully taken care of than the rest of your body. People shouldn’t wash their face with products that are meant for the body- like a bar of soap- because it will irritate and harm your skin more than help it.

4.) If you have sensitive skin, use products that will accommodate this. Use soap that is labeled for sensitive skin if you know you skin is prone to break out. Look at the ingredients of the products you use. If you see a pattern in the products that you don’t enjoy, avoid them when looking for new products. Be careful what you’re using on your skin, since some exfoliants are not good for sensitive skin since it will rub and irritate your skin.

5.) Make sure that you’re drinking enough water. It might be something you hear often, but it actually does help your skin. Drinking water will keep you hydrated. Many people say that they see results when they switch from not drinking a lot of water to drinking around eight cups of water a day, which includes better skin.

Do you have dry skin?

If you have dry skin, your enemy will be exfoliating and roughly rubbing your skin. Your skin is dried out, you don’t want to dry it out even more by rubbing and taking all of the existing moisture out of it.

For those who have dry skin, you’re going to want a cleanser. A cleanser is a light face wash that will still clean and clarify your skin. A face wash I recommend is the “Neutrogena Deep Clean Micellar Gel To Foam Cleanser.”

Another tip for those who have dry skin is to use moisturizer after you wash your face. Using moisturizer on your face after you wash it will put the moisture back into your face,  especially if your face wash just took a lot of moisture out of it.q

If you want more of a boost than just your normal moisturizer, you might want to find a face mask that is specifically for radiance and moisture. There are deep moisturizing face masks, and face masks that will make your skin look more radiant that will give you an extra boost.

Do you have oily skin?

If you have oily skin, you’re going to want to wash your face frequently. It is recommended for people with oily skin to wash their face twice a day. Oil build up will clog your pores and maximize the look of your pores. People with oily skin should exfoliate; you want to clear out your pores and get rid of the extra moisture in your face.

There are two kinds of facial cleanser that are good for people with oily skin. If you have have oily skin but your skin is sensitive, you’ll want to use an oil free face cleaner, My favorite one is the “Neutrogena Oil Free Face Wash.” This will be gentle to your skin but still clear out your pores, without adding oil to them.

The other kind is an exfoliating face wash. The exfoliating face wash will clean out your pores and remove the excess oil from your skin. A good refreshing face wash is the “Clean and Clear morning burst face wash.”

If you struggle with oily skin, you are going to want to look into either a wash off or peel off face mask. A clay face mask will absorb the extra moisture on your face, and when the mask is done you can just wash it off. A nice clay mask is the “Dead Sea Minerals Facial Anti-Stress mask.” If you get a charcoal or any deep cleansing peel off mask, this will help empty your pores. The “Boscia Luminizing Black Charcoal Mask” is one of my favorite peel masks.

Follow these tips and you’ll follow the path to beautiful and healthy skin.

Thank you very much for the wonderful post. It was really very helpful. I used to suffer from a lot of skin problems. I started using ZO skin care products and I could see the changes on my skin in no time. http://www.g3cosmeceuticals.com/ They provide very good skin care creams which is exclusively available only with them. I would definitely recommend their products.
