How many chaperones does it take to watch the class of 2018?

A lot.

Aye, less than two weeks until the dance floor is set on fire at the Black Swan. The annual GHS Semi Formal is rapidly approaching, and November 6th will be here in the blink of an eye.

Attendees of the event will catch a glimpse of Scottie MacDonald on the turntables. The photobooth will be set up by 360 Entertainment. According to Class Advisor Rayanne Menery Sammataro, there will be 20 chaperones in attendance for the night.

After the examples of what not to do at a school dance last year, the Class of 2018 plans to uphold the expectations of their teachers and peers. Semi is the first event of the year, and it will set the example for the remainder of the year.

“I’m not nervous on this class’ behavior. Mistakes have been made and it brought the class together,” said Menery Sammataro. “Things in the past have happened, let’s move forward and have a nice semi with no worries.” she elaborated.

With that being said, there is no way to circumvent the fun that will transpire. There will be good food, an impressive DJ, and an electric atmosphere. If all goes well, the worst that could happen is a few awkward slow dances.
