Spirit week at GHS brings classes together
September 21, 2015
It’s that time of year again. Spirit week is the place to be.
Spirit week consists of five days of dressing in different themed outfits. Every student gets to have the chance of dressing up in a variety of different ways, as long as it is related to that day’s theme and is deemed appropriate.
“I like that the students get to dress in an attire they would not normally wear to school,” said sophomore Ericca Nolan. “It lets students really get into the spirit of their grade.”
To start off the exciting week, Monday was twin day, Tuesday was opposite day, Wednesday was America day followed by Thursday’s character day. To conclude spirit week, classes wore their colors and attended the pep rally on Friday. Every class at GHS has their own designated colors. This year, seniors are green, juniors are red, sophomores are black, and freshmen are blue.
At the pep rally teachers and students came together to support the football team and the exciting season ahead.
Because the pep rally was outside, GHS will have another color day in November on the day of the Thanksgiving pep rally.
