Aili Spencer
One name sticks out when you stare at the newly renovated Track and Field record boards in the GHS field house. Throughout decades-old records and Gloucester Track legends, Aili Spencer's name is cemented in the history books. In this season alone, Spencer set 5 school records and won NEC Athlete of the Year.
Spencer set individual school records in the long jump, triple jump, 55m hurdles, and pentathlon. She was also a part of Gloucester's 4x50-yard shuttle dash team, breaking the school record alongside Maddie Goodhue, Samantha Tucker, and Maddie Jewell.
She finished 7th in the NEC Championship for the 55m hurdles and 3rd in the long jump. Her 4x200 relay team placed 2nd, less than a second off first place.
After placing in both the long jump and 4x200 relay at D4 states, the captain placed 7th at the state-wide Meet of Champions. Her record-breaking jump of 17'10.25 sent her to Nike Nationals. She broke her long jump record multiple times throughout the season.
In the spring, the Rockport native will look to lead the team again as captain and represent Gloucester to the fullest.
