Frolic into fall with these fun activities
September 19, 2022
Summer is over and fall is just around the corner. Back to school, colorful leaves, cool weather! You may be upset that the end of summer means no more beach days or pool parties, but fall has its own fun activities that you will enjoy just as much! Since more activities are opening up, take the opportunity to go out and have fun this fall season.
Apple picking
Go to your local apple orchard or farm with your family or friends to spend quality time together picking apples. You might ask “what can i do with all these apples?” One idea is to take them home and make apple pie! Apple pie is a great fall treat both to make and bake!
While you’re at the orchard, make sure to pick up some pumpkins to carve! Carving the pumpkins into funny or spooky faces is a great way to bond with your friends and family!
Fall flavors
This is the season for fall flavors! Whether that be apple cider donuts or pumpkin spice, take the advantage of any business or restaurant selling anything with fall flavors! It only lasts so long before Christmas and holiday festivities start to take over. An apple cider donut from Russels Orchard or a pumpkin spice latte from Dunkin would be a great and tasty way to make your day.
Spooky season
The spooky season is approaching and Halloween is around the corner. Get lost in a corn maze, or even better, get lost in a corn maze at night. Connors Farm and Marini farm are the perfect places for this. If you want a real scare, go to Screamfest at Canobie Lake Park on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from September 24 thru October 30, 2022. If you’re not into going out, stay in and watch some Halloween movies. “Hocus Pocus”, “Nightmare before Christmas”, “Ghostbusters” or “Beetlejuice” are all fun, not too scary, friendly movies to watch with friends and family.
Topsfield fair
Do you like live music, carnival rides, good food and real animals? If so, head to The Topsfield Fair starting from September 30th and ending October 10th for a chance to go see a huge pumpkin, look at the bunnies, go on the Ferris wheel, see beautiful sand sculptures or watch live performances.
Fall is a great season, enjoy it while you can!
