Gloucester JROTC places 2nd overall in Regional Qualifier Drill Meet

Gloucester’s MCJROTC competed in the Regional Qualifier Drill Meet at Beverly High School this weekend, and came home with an armful of trophies. The results are as follows:
Overall 2nd place
Individual Events:
1st Place – Armed Regulation
1st Place – Armed Commander (Zaila Dort)
1st Place – Unarmed Knockout (Alexia Mateo)
2nd Place – Inspection
2nd Place – Unarmed Exhibition
3rd Place – Armed Exhibition
3rd Place – Armed Knockout (Zaila Dort)
5th Place – Unarmed Knockout (Jacob Andrews)
Honorable Mention to Kayky Barbosa and Ricardo Nieves
“Best of luck to all our seniors (Peter Scola, Jacob Andrews, & Caleb Grace)- as this was their final competition,” said MSGT Carcel Dubose. “And hats off to Cadet Colonel Zaila Dort; Zaila is the only member of the team that has (4) years under her belt!”
