DECA store opens just in time for Halloween
October 24, 2017
Halloween is creeping around the corner, and with it brings the grand opening of the GHS DECA store. Ready or not, the store will be opening on October 25th during both lunches with a bit of a trick up its sleeve.
“Our theme will be based on October and Halloween,” said DECA Store Manager Dakota Girard. “We will have mini games for people to play during lunch.”
The DECA store will be selling:
Quarter zip sweatshirts, ($20)
Mugs, ($5)
Scarves ($3)
“We are hoping to get other goodies to sell as in candy and food,” said Girard.
To kick off the fall season, the DECA store will also be selling hot and cold apple cider and donuts.
For those who don’t know, DECA is a business marketing class that competes in state and district competitions. DECA’s mission statement is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
The DECA store will also have a survey available for all students to take about what they think should be sold in the store. Come on down to the DECA store on October 25th during both lunches and buy some apple cider and donuts.
Along with the DECA store, other potential fundraisers this year are:
Chipotle: November 28th
3 on 3: December 9th
Flag Football: November 18th
