Gloucester’s Track and Field team made good numbers, but it was not enough to beat the strong Beverly and Marblehead squads.
The boys’ team had strong performances from Henry Stevens in the 2-mile, taking third vs both teams. Seamus Linehan took first in the 400-meter hurdles, with teammate Jeferson DoCarmo taking second over both teams. Gabe Pate took second, and Vincent Mannone took third in the triple jump. Leo Cosentino took second in the long jump. The 4×400 team of DoCarmo, Dylan Smith, Mannone, and Linehan dusted the other teams with an 8-second lead.
On the girls’ side, Grace Castellucci (100-meter dash and Georgana Cauthers (one mile) took fourth overall. Cia Donohoe took third in the 400-meter hurdles. In the field events, Lauren Sargent took second in the shootout. Meg Hurd took first in the long jump and triple jump, while her teammate Donohoe took second. The girls’ 4×400 team of Hope Castellucci, Donohoe, G.Castellucci, and Skye Ciolino took first.
