Aleena Brown - Softball

Designated Hitter Aleena Brown had another fantastic week at the plate for the Fishermen, leading the team in a perfect week. The sophomore had a team-leading average of .667 with four hits and 2 RBI (2nd on team, behind Madruga).

In Gloucester's 7-11 loss to #7 St.Mary's, Brown went 4-4 with three singles and a warning-track double.

Grace Castellucci - Track

Sprints/Mid-Distance Specialist Grace Castellucci placed second in the 400m at the NEC Freshman-Sophomore Championship. The sophomore set a PR of 1:05:05. Castellucci also placed 6th in long jump. Throughout the season, Castellucci has been one of the most consistent athletes for the Fishermen Track team.

Julia Carrancho - Softball

POTW Accolades: 2

Captain Julia Carrancho has been on fire for the Fishermen, both at center field and the plate. The senior outfielder went 3-for-7 this week, scoring one run and stealing two bases. She's been reliable in the outfield as well, making strong catches and throws in center.

Brayden Francis - Baseball

Brayden Francis was a key piece of the Fishermen lineup (as usual). Francis pitched another complete game in Gloucester’s recent win against Salem, striking out 11 and allowing 0 earned runs.

Vincent Mannone - Track and Field

Vincent Mannone was an essential part of the GHS boys' track team during the NEC Freshman-Sophomore Championship. Mannone placed 3rd in the 400m with a PR of 55.75 seconds, breaking the outdoor record among GHS freshmen. He is currently ranked 20th in GHS history for the 400m. His 4x400 relay team took home 4th overall.

Giacomo Martell - Baseball

POTW Accolades: 2

Giacomo Martell has been a dominant on the mound this season, but he's added to his dominance with his recent play at the plate. Martell notched three crucial RBI hits in Gloucester’s recent wins against Salem and Masconomet.

The Assumption commit went .375 at the plate this week with three hits (two singles and a double) and led the team with 4 RBI.
