Laila Ciaramitaro - Softball

Last week, junior Laila Ciaramitaro notched her first 3 hits of the season.

Ciaramitaro had a perfectly executed sac bunt to give Gloucester the late lead against Georgetown. Her bunt scored 2 runs at the dish and allowed her to be safe at first.

Last week, the junior had the second best batting average on the team with 3 hits, 3 RBI, and 1 run.

The junior has also boasted a near perfect fielding percentage this season, despite the move from shortstop to third base. Ciaramitaro is strong on both sides of the ball and continues to impress in her third season as a starter.

Kaiya Mineo - Softball

Senior Kaiya Mineo boasted the third best batting average last week, finishing the three game stretch with 2 hits, 2 runs, and 1 sacrifice bunt.

The senior is one of Gloucester’s strongest small ball players, producing slap hits and bunts down the baselines. She’s also a threat on the bases, using her speed to beat the opposing catcher’s throws.

Meghan Buckley - Tennis

Despite her young age, Meghan Buckley has proven to be integral to the Fishermen tennis lineup. As a second singles player, Buckley has played strong in all her matches. The freshman has solid wins against tough opponents and a few slim losses.

Charlie Amero - Baseball

Charlie Amero contributed greatly to the Fishermen’s 17-4 pounding of Northeast Metro Tech. He had a homer alongside teammate Brayden Francis.

Brayden Francis - Baseball

POTW Accolades - 1

Brayden Francis also contributed offensively for the Fishermen in the aforementioned matchup, homering after Amero. The senior also played a strong defensive game.

Jaeden Chipperini - Lacrosse

POTW Accolades: 1

Jaeden Chipperini was the difference maker in Gloucester lacrosse’s 6-3 win over Salem. The junior had 16 saves, powering the Fishermen after a 2-3 start.
