With Baseball swinging into action, Gloucester’s team has high hopes for their upcoming season. With two returning captains and an 8-person senior class, the Fishermen have an experienced team lined up.
The Fishermen look to bounce back after finishing 12-10 and losing the first round to Apponequet Regional High School last year.
Players to watch this season are returning senior Captains Brayden Francis and Giacomo Martell. The pitchers are committed to playing college baseball, so they are two guys to look out for this season.
Another player to watch is sophomore Nico Alves. Alves was awarded as an All-Conference Player last year as a freshman and looks to carry his momentum into this season.
The last Fishermen to stay on the lookout for is junior Jaylen Severino. Severino was recently named as the third captain for the Fishermen. He is ready to continue his dominant play after his successful freshman and sophomore tenures.
Gloucester kicks off the season against Salem on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at Gallows Hill Park.
