Gloucester Integrated Preschool is holding a toy and clothing drive through December 9th to benefit families who are less fortunate.

“It is nice to give to someone else, especially families who can not give their children the Christmas they would like to,” said child study teacher, and program leader Albina Papows? “This gives them an opportunity to give some extra help.”

Child study students Mayra Oliveira, Jade Orlando, and Brooklynn McEachern are organizing the drive out of room 1403. These interns work in preschool classrooms around the city three blocks out of the day.

Gifts and clothes must be unwrapped, and they should be in good condition and be appropriate for children ages 5 and under. The Integrated Preschool also welcomes cash donations of any amount.

The Integrated Preschool is run by the Gloucester Public School system, for children under five years old. Some of the children have learning disabilities and the preschool provides special needs services, as well as typical peer models for those children. The gifts will be distributed at the Preschool Holiday Store on December 12th. You can contact Emily Cote with questions at [email protected].
