Are you looking for a fun way for you and your family to spend Wednesday evening? Do you enjoy competitive events where YOU are the judge? Well, look no further than the 16th annual Pizza Taste-Off at the Gloucester Cruiseport tomorrow night.
The event has been organized by Gloucester High School’s Interact Club, which is centered around volunteering and fundraising for specific charities each year. Tomorrow, all of the night’s proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
“It supports a really great cause and it’s a great chance for families to bond,” club advisor Christine Simmons said. “It’s also a great marketing opportunity for these restaurants.”
During the taste-off, attendees will try pizzas from many local restaurants including Poseidons, Uncle Franks, Gregs, and more.
In order to help the night run smoothly, 20 students from the Interact Club will be in charge of selling tickets, safely transporting the pizzas, and cleaning up after the event.
“I’m looking forward to seeing everybody in the community come out and get involved,” Interact Vice President Dylan Rochford said.
At the end of the night, attendees will vote for their favorite pizzas. In previous years, some of the voting categories have included Best Crust, Best Sauce, and Best Pizza Overall.
Tickets will be available at the door: $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children.
If you’ve got a hankering for some delicious pizza or if you’re looking to support a good cause, then come on down and support the community and the American Cancer Society.
