The Fishermen took the lead in the second inning after Brown singled up the third baseline to score catcher Olivia Madruga. Georgetown tied the game in the fourth inning with a single in right field.

After Georgetown tied the game again, Kaiya Mineo scored after an Emma Carrapichosa lineout deep into right field. Georgetown capitalized on a Gloucester error and scored on a triple, tying the game up at 3-3.
In the 6th inning, Gloucester needed an offensive push to take the lead over the Royals. After 2 straight outs, Brown singled on a hard line drive to right field. After a Mackayla Allen walk, Laila Ciaramitaro laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to score the 2 runs Gloucester needed to take the victory.
Allen was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the game, making multiple run-saving plays at shortstop. Abby Noble struck out 11 in the circle, leaving 9 Georgetown runners on base.
Gloucester and Marblehead remain atop the NEC leaderboard as they are both undefeated (both overall and in the NEC). The Fishermen take on Peabody and Bedford during April Vacation.
