After a rough first half of the season Gloucester’s Hockey team is looking to make a push for a playoff run for the second year in row. The Fishermen had a big conference win last Saturday against the Revere Patriots to stay in the running for the conference’s title. 6-2 was the final of the game.

The Fishermen dominated the game from the start with Sal Costanzo scoring a quick goal that he tipped in from the original shot taken by defensemen Brenden Poliskey. From there on Gloucester put up five more goals, with their first line Sal Costanzo,  Eddie Mahoney and  Liam Lyons, being apart of each one.

Each player has over twenty points on the season and with eight more games left to play they are looking to produce even more.

Along with the starting offensive line, the defensive pair, Alex Enes and Brenden Poliskey, have been outstanding both offensively and defensively, putting up a lot of points. With these talented players, the Fishermen have been a tough team to beat, and even a tougher team to keep off the scoreboard.

They have been averaging four goals a game and their goalie Noah Poliskey has been playing well allowing only three goals in the past three games, with a shutout against Swampscott.

They are on a two game win streak making their record 6-5-1 and are looking to continue their streak into Wednesday night’s match-up against the Rockport Vikings who are looking for their second win of the season.

This game will be held at the Dorothy Talbot Rink at 6:00 p.m.
